Two men are glad they were wearing the proper gear after an incident in Tweed Saturday.
The men went snowmobiling on Stoco Lake during the Tweed Winter Carnival and they broke through the ice.
OPP report both are safe and sound because they were wearing floater jackets.
The carnival runs through Sunday.
BELOW IS ADVICE FROM OPP
We encourage everyone to STAY OFF THE ICE. If you feel you must go out, watch for changes in ice colour. Even slight currents under the ice can drastically reduce ice thickness. While it might be safe in one section of a lake, its can be a different story just metres away.
