This International Women’s Day, Three Oaks Foundation is hosting a free event, open to everyone.
The event will take place on International Women’s Day on March 8, 2024 at The CORE Centre at 223 Pinnacle Street, Belleville from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis
The event will consist of various local vendors that each hold a focus on wellness, self-care or empowerment. Throughout the day, there will be vendors offering free mini sessions of their services and providing free mini products. There will be opportunities to learn about reiki, reflexology, and reproductive health, receive a mini makeover or a mini spa service. At 3 p.m. there will be a free Zumba class. Three Oaks Foundation will also be giving away a limited number of self-care baskets for attendees.
The mission of this event is to bring community members together to celebrate women, support local and women-owned businesses and share the joy. Three Oaks thanks the volunteer Zumba instructor and all vendors as their participation will help make this event a success.
The mission of this year’s International Women’s Day is to forge a more inclusive world and holds the theme #InspireInclusion. Three Oaks has maintained their commitment to the eradication of intimate partner violence and hopes to hear from community members how they will forge a more inclusive world this International Women’s Day.
As a community, we all have the responsibility to challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias and stand up against violence against women. Activism from all community members and organizations is how we will inspire inclusion. Join Three Oaks and share how you will forge a more inclusive world. Three Oaks is encouraging community members to make a pledge of how they will #InspireInclusion.
