A Belleville man is alleged to have tried to fool the police but it didn’t turn out as planned.
City police began an investigation Wednesday after a man claimed his vehicle had been
stolen from a north end business parking lot.
During the investigation police say it became clear that the vehicle was not stolen and that the owner
started the investigation to commit insurance fraud.
Facing mischief and fraud over $5,000 charges is 20-year-old Karanvir Singh.
