Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services released its call volume and response time stats for 2023.
When it comes to patient contact calls, the paramedic service saw an increase in the number of calls.
For 2023, they reported 30,977 patient contact calls. That’s an increase from 30,007.
Response times moved in the wrong direction for Hastings County while the rest of the areas in the Quinte region saw quicker response times.
In Hastings County, the average response time was 14 minutes and 32 seconds for 2023. That’s an increase from 14 minutes and 18 seconds in 2022.
Specifically in the Bancroft and Madoc areas, they saw response times of five minutes and 51 seconds and 12 minutes and 18 seconds respectively.
That’s an increase from five minutes and 38 seconds and 11 minutes and 43 seconds.
Belleville saw a two-second quicker response in 2023 from 2022 with the average response time going from seven minutes and 23 seconds to seven minutes and 21 seconds.
For Quinte West, they also saw a quicker response with a response time of nine minutes and 16 seconds for 2023. That’s a decrease from nine minutes and 24 seconds.
Finally in Prince Edward County, the average response time in 2023 was 12 minutes. That’s a decrease from 12 minutes and 31 seconds.
