Northumberland OPP have completed an investigation into a residential fire on January 29 in Alderville and have arrested one person on arson charges.
The fire took place at approximately 7:50 a.m. and both police and fire attended the scene. No injuries were reported from the original blaze.
Forensic Identification Services, Canine Unit, and Emergency Response Team members assisted in the subsequent investigation, which led to the arrest of a suspect.
Seth Gray, a 35-year-old from Roseneath, has been charged with arson – disregard for human life and arson – damage to property.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
