We’ve had several weeks of well above average temperatures in the Quinte region but the balmy days are not going to last.
Meteorologist Kevin Williams says early next week an Atlantic storm system moving north will shift the jetstream now affecting our weather.
” … and the new jet stream pattern that emerges next week will feature that will be near to below normal temperature-wise and the relatively colder air will carry us through the rest of the month and into March and that will increase the opportunities for snowfalls.”
Both December and January were warmer and wetter than normal in this part of the province.
