As part of the festival, DocFest will present a number of NFB films. National Film Board of Canada is one of the most acclaimed creative centres in the world. Each year DocFest brings the best NFB films to Belleville, inspiring Canadian storytelling by incredible Canadian filmmakers.
For the 13th annual festival, running from February 23 – 28, DocFest announces these NFB feature films: WaaPaKe (Tomorrow) by director Dr Jules Arita Koostachin, Stolen Time by director Helene Klodawsky, Arab Women Say What?! by director Nisreen Baker, Geographies of DAR by director Monique LeBlanc, A Quiet Girl by director Adrian Wills, and Beyond Paper by director Oana Suteu Khintirian. DocFest is also showcasing a range of short films from the NFB including: Losing Blue by director Leanne Allison, Hebron Relocation by director Holly Andersen, Miss Campbell: Inuk Teacher by director Heather Campbell, and Our Maternal Home by director Janine Windolph, and her co-collaborators Dawlari Windolph and Corwyn Windolph-Turtle.
