Quinte region emergency responders will again be “freezin’ for a reason” in about three weeks time.
Belleville’s Herchimer Street boat launch will again be the scene of the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics.
Last year the event raised close to $30,000, well above the $15,000 goal.
Plunging into the icy waters of the Bay of Quinte were the Belleville police and fire departments, the Hastings Quinte Paramedic Service, CFB Trenton, and Probation and Parole.
The polar plunge takes place Friday March 1 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
The individual organizations are raising money themselves but donations can also be made through Special Olympics Ontario.
