Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee is expected to make a recommendation to council on whether or not to allow an expansion of a parking lot at Belleville General Hospital Monday.
Hospital administration has applied for a rezoning of property on the east side of the hospital to expand an existing parking lot allowing an additional 107 parking spaces.
There’s long been a parking shortage for both staff and visitors to BGH.
City staff received only one letter from a resident in the neighbourhood worried about lighting, noise, fumes and a potential decrease in property value.
Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee meets at 5:30 at City Hall and the meetings can be seen on the BellevilleCityHall Youtube site.
