Building activity in the City of Belleville off to a much quieter start in 2024 than 2023.
There were 26 building permits with a construction value of $3.79 million issued by the city in January.
That is well below the 44 permits worth $22.2 million issued during the same month in 2023.
Permits were issued last month for three new residential units.
The largest project was a permit for $1.35 million worth of improvements to be made at Belleville General Hospital.
