Two people have been charged in connection with a break and enter at a Quinte West apartment complex.
Ontario Provincial Police say the Highway 33 building was entered Saturday morning and several items, as well as approximately $29,000 in cash and cheques, were taken.
Following an investigation by Quinte West OPP, including members of the Quinte West Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Services, two individuals from Quinte West were arrested.
Thirty-eight-year-old Ryan Erdely is charged with break and enter, theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and mischief under $5,000 while 36-year-old Ashley Girouard is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and operation while prohibited.
Erdely was held for a bail hearing on Monday.
