Mischief and Breach Probation
On January 30, 2024 at 1:35 p.m., a 37-year-old male of no fixed address was standing outside a business on Dundas Street East when he picked up a rock and threw it through a store window breaking it. The male waited at the scene for police to arrive. Upon arrival, the male was arrested without incident. As a result, the male was charged with mischief under $5000 and three counts of breaching his probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
Breach of Release Order
On January 30, 2024 at 7:10 p.m., Belleville police received information that a 27-year-old male had breached conditions of his release order which were to remain at a residence in the north end of Belleville. Police attended the residence and confirmed the information with the ankle bracelet monitoring centre. Following the investigation, the male who had returned home upon police arrival was arrested and charged with breaching his release order. He was held for a bail hearing.
