Incidents at two jails on Friday are under investigation.
The Correctional Service of Canada says an inmate was assaulted at Millhaven Institution in Bath.
The injured inmate was taken to an outside hospital for treatment.
OPP and the institution are currently investigating the incident.
The assailant has been identified and the appropriate actions have been taken.
Also, more than $51,000 in contraband was seized at Collins Bay Institution in Kingston.
The items seized include tobacco and, marijuana, as well as a cell phone and accessories.
