A traffic stop for speeding led to much more in Northumberland early Tuesday.
An OPP officer conducting speed enforcement in the Port Hope area around 3:15 a.m. stopped a vehicle travelling at 147 km/hr.
Investigation led to a search of the vehicle and driver and the seizure of 13 grams of cocaine worth $1,350, five Fentanyl patches and a quantity of Oxycodone, Hydromorphone and Amineptine tablets.
Canadian currency was also seized.
As a result, 20-year-old Sean Pierre of Brampton, is charged with five counts of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, speeding and two counts of driving while under suspension.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
