Tobacco, marijuana, hashish and cell phone accessories were among the contraband and unauthorized items seized Tuesday at Joyceville Institution.
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) reports the total estimated institutional value of these seizures is $39,500.
On Tuesday, CSC reported $385,000 worth of contraband had been seized from Collins Bay Institution over a two-week period.
The CSC says it uses a number of tools to prevent drugs from entering its institutions.
These tools include ion scanners and detector dogs to search buildings, personal property, inmates, and visitors.
CSC also works in partnership with the police to take action against those who attempt to introduce contraband or unauthorized items into correctional institutions.
There is no word on whether any charges related to seizures have been laid.
