A couple of drivers might be paying some very hefty speeding fines after ignoring the speed limit in a Community Safety Zone on Harmony Road.
Belleville police were monitoring the zone late Monday morning when they clocked a 49-year-old driver going 82 km/h in the 40 km/h safety zone.
Then, in the mid-afternoon in the same area, police caught a 48-year-old driver going 85 km/h in the 40 km/h zone.
Both were charged with stunt driving and had their licences suspended for 30 days and vehicles impounded for 14 days.
Speeding fines in Community Safety Zones are double that of other areas.
