Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings has received a grant from the Central Lakes Association of Realtors (CLAR) for a major affordable housing project in Belleville.
Habitat is receiving $37,529 for the transformation of 93 Dundas Street East into a 66-unit building.
The funds were generated from realtor members of Quinte & District Association of Realtors who integrated with the Central Lakes Association last year.
“This substantial donation from CLAR establishes our 93 Dundas Street East, Belleville campaign and provides significant forward momentum to the fundraising for this project,” noted Hazzem Koudsi, CEO of Habitat PEH.
“The Central Lakes Association of REALTORS® takes immense pride in supporting Habitat for Humanity PEH’s first large multi-unit project,” says CLAR CEO Wendy Giroux. Addressing the pressing concern of affordable housing in our communities, we remain steadfast in our commitment to advocating for and supporting innovative solutions. We look forward to continuing to support all of the communities across our expansive region.”
