A Brighton native is facing charges for impaired driving after a traffic stop on Hwy 401.
Early Saturday morning, an officer from the Northumberland OPP was on patrol on Highway 401 when he spotted a car that was swerving and unable to keep inside its lane.
After stopping the vehicle, the officer began an impaired driving investigation.
As a result of the investigation, 35-year-old Sage Daly has been charged with driving under the influence, blood alcohol concentration of 80+, driving a motor vehicle with liquor available, and refusing to surrender driver’s licence.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days. The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a later date.
