The Laval Rocket defeated the Belleville Sens 5-2 at Place Bell on Friday night.
Tyler Kleven and Jacob Larsson scored for the Sens.
Laval grabbed the only goal in the first period before the Sens got on the board early in the second. Laval scored two more goals in the second to retake their lead before the Sens got their final goal of the night to round out the frame. The Rocket scored twice more in the final frame to claim the win.
Belleville Senators head coach Dave Bell said the team needed to improve to win their next clash with the Rocket.
“As a team, we didn’t play good enough. I admire that we stuck up for each other and didn’t back down, but at the end of the day, we’re here to win a hockey game and we didn’t do that.”
The Sens are hosting the Rocket tonight at CAA arena. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
