The Wellington Dukes slipped past the Lindsay Muskies 1-0 in double overtime on Friday night.
Nick Dipaolo scored the only goal of the game, while Jack Lisson played a perfect defence for the Dukes with 30 saves.
Both teams came out swinging in the scoreless first period before a penalty-filled but still scoreless second. After the third period passed with neither team gaining an edge over the other, the teams settled in for overtime. Still, as the minutes ticked on, neither team could get a puck past the goalies until deep into double overtime when Nick Dipaolo found the back of the Muskies’ net and brought home the win.
The Dukes are back in action on Sunday facing the Cobourg Cougars.
