Members of the Prince Edward County OPP have charged an individual at a RIDE program.
On January 9, 2024 shortly before midnight, officers were conducting a RIDE program on Main Street Picton when a vehicle entered the program. Officers spoke with the driver and as a result, an approved screening device was administered. The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further testing. Drew Wollenberg, age 42 from Prince Edward County, was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
The driver was released on an undertaking and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 7, 2024. He also had his driver’s licence suspended for three days. The vehicle was not impounded.
