Four people have been charged following a drug trafficking investigation in Quinte West.
Around 5:30 Thursday morning, Quinte West OPP, with the OPP Community Street Crime Unit and the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a Whites Road residence seizing a quantity of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Cash, imitation firearms and other weapons were also seized.
Charged are:
Roger Baker, 50 years old from Quinte West:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
Katelynn Harpell, 28 years old from Quinte West:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
Brian Vachon, 39 years old from Quinte West:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
Possession of proceeds of crime
Fail to comply with probation order
Ashley Ewanchek, 36 years old from Quinte West was charged with:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possess ion for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
Fail to comply with release order
Baker was released from custody with a future court date while the other accused were held for a bail hearing.
