One male is facing several charges following a disturbance in downtown Belleville Monday afternoon.
Police were called to the area of Front and Bridge streets just before 3 p.m. regarding a fight between two males.
Officers spoke to the men and and learned one brandished a knife during the altercation.
A 22-year-old male of no fixed address was arrested.
During a search of the suspect, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and stolen property and it was learned he was also breaching his Probation Order.
The male, who was not identified by police, was held for a bail hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, failing to comply with his probation order and possession of stolen property.
