It was a winning Sunday for Wellington and Trenton in the OJHL.
At North York, Cory Jewitt scored two first period goals and Jack Lisson made them stand up with 18 saves as the Dukes dumped the North York Rangers 4-1.
Nick DiPaolo (7th) and Ryan Schaap (17th) also scored for Wellington.
The Dukes will play their first home game in a month next Sunday (Jan. 14) when they host Aurora.
In Trenton, Adam O’Marra scored four goals including his 30th of the season and Giani DiVita (8th) added a hat trick as the Golden Hawks mauled the Oakville Blades 9-3.
Ryan Cutler (11th) and James Jodoin (2nd) rounded out the scoring for the G-Hawks.
Trenton has opened an 11-point lead atop the OJHL East.
The G-Hawks host Milton on Wednesday night.
Jets 6 Pirates 5 in OT
In the Provincial Junior C Hockey League the Picton Pirates couldn’t bring home a three-goal third period lead and fell 6-5 in overtime to the Amherstview Jets.
Owen Bauder scored the winner.
Aiden Treverton scored three for Picton.
