A Belleville man has a court date later this month after being charged with assaulting police early Saturday in the area of the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse.
Officers responded to reports of two men fighting at around 4 o’clock in the morning and while one of the combatants calmed down and was sent home the other fought with police.
He was tasered and arrested. Charged was 31-year-old Dylan Vankirk.
