It won’t be surprising to learn that last month was warmer and wetter in the Quinte region than usual.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton the average high temperature in December was around plus 4 degrees celsius.
The usual average high for the month is just plus 1.
The warmest day last month came on December 9 when the mercury climbed to almost 12 degrees.
Meanwhile, the average low in December was minus 2 degrees. The normal low for the month is minus 8.
And it rained a lot last month–almost 103 millimetres. We received only 11 centimetres of snow.
Usually just 50 mm of rain falls in December, along with 36 cm of snow.
