Quinte West council will continue to work away at its 2024 budget early in the new year.
Staff first presented a budget with a 9.26% tax increase for the average residential property owner.
After a slew of decisions made earlier this month by council, staff is returning with a proposed operating budget with a 7.16% increase.
That increase would mean the average homeowner in Quinte West would see taxes increase by around $245 a year.
Council will also be discussing capital and water/sewer budgets.
The budget debate begins at 9 a.m. Monday January 8.
