UPDATE: Belleville Police say the owners of the truck reached out to police after media coverage of the story.
Police confirmed that the owners were legitimate bird watchers who were on an outing on Wednesday.
No further action will be taken.

ORIGINAL STORY
Belleville police are asking for the public’s help to identify some people acting suspiciously in Thurlow Ward.
A homeowner in the area of Homan and Harmony roads called police around 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon after observing people in a pickup truck who appeared to be looking at residences with large binoculars and recording images on cell phones.
When spoken to by a resident, the males claimed they were ‘birdwatching’ and sped off towards Harmony Road.
Anyone with information, images or a licence plate of the suspected vehicle – a charcoal grey Toyota Tacoma TRD with a hard bed cover cap is asked to contact Belleville Police.
The image is from a doorbell camera a long distance away from the the vehicle as it passed.
