Northumberland OPP are investigating two separate intimate partner violence investigations that took place over the long weekend.
OPP made an arrest on December 23 around 9:45 p.m. following an investigation that took place days earlier regarding threats in Hamilton Township.
A 44-year-old man from Hamilton Township was charged with the following:
- Criminal Harassment – threatening conduct
- Uttering Threats – cause death or bodily harm
On Christmas Eve, around 8:10 p.m., OPP were called to a report of an assault at a property in the Municipality of Port Hope.
A 52-year-old woman from Port Hope has been charged with the following:
- Assault – spousal.
