Belleville police responded to 93 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on December 20, 2023, to 5 a.m. on December 21, 2023.
Warrants
On December 20, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police observed a female on Front Street known to them to have outstanding warrants for her arrest. Police took 33-year-old Angie Nolan of Belleville into custody without incident. The accused is currently facing ten outstanding charges before the court. Those charges are as follows:
- 3 Counts of Fail to Comply with a Release Order
- 2 Counts of Failing to Attend Court
- 3 Counts of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
- 2 Counts Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000
Ms. Nolan was held in custody and will appear in court today for a show cause hearing.
Breach of Probation
On December 21, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., police were called to fights in the downtown core. Four different fights were reported over a one-hour period. Twenty-eight-year-old Kyle Pitts of Belleville was stopped as a suspect. An investigation revealed that Mr. Pitts was on an outstanding probation order with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Police arrested and charged Mr. Pitts for breaching this order. He was later released on his own recognizance and will appear in court on February 15, 2024 to answer to the charge.
