Members of the Prince Edward County OPP charged a driver with impaired operation after receiving a traffic complaint
On December 18, 2023 around 8:45 p.m., officers received a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle travelling on Highway 62. The vehicle then collided with a ditch. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the driver who was transported to detachment for further testing. William Anderson, age 76 from Prince Edward County, was charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The driver was released and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 24, 2024. The driver also had his licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
