When looking back on 2023, Lesley Lavender of the Prince Edward County Chamber of Commerce says she’s proud of the different ways they were able to support businesses this year.
One of those ways, she says, is through some of the different innovative programs they introduced.
Lavender went through some of those programs to Quinte News.
“We’ve introduced programs such as ‘HR Covered’ which provides our businesses with access to templates and consultations. Chamber Perks, connecting businesses to new markets and improving customer loyalty and staff retention as well. Park and Fly super discounts. We introduced the digital map so those kinds of innovative programs have really supported the growth and development of our businesses,” Lavender tells Quinte News.
Receiving Rainbow Accreditation from Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce was a huge accomplishment for the Prince Edward County Chamber of Commerce.
The accreditation means the chamber meets a set of standards that ensures 2SLGBTQI+ customers feel safe, welcomed, and accepted.
“(It) was a big process for us,” Lavender said.
“So you know, expanding our members access beyond the boundaries of Prince Edward County and supporting their growth and development individually and as a business community would be one of our great achievements in 2023.”
