Enbridge Gas is teaming up with the Quinte West Fire Department to help save lives.
On Tuesday morning at the fire hall on Dixon Drive, 276 combination carbon monoxide/smoke alarms were given to Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services.
Senior Fire Prevention Officer Greg King says the program is called Safe Community Project Zero
“The value is $16,500. Through this generous donation, we can provide smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms to the residents of Quinte West.”

Enbridge Gas Operations Supervisor Mike Cooney:
“If we can ensure more houses in the community have the availability to detect smoke at the early stages, we can save a few more lives and ensure equipment’s operating properly, etcetera.”
The internal lithium batteries inside the alarm have a ten-year life span.
