A 13-year-old weightlifter from Trenton has qualified for the Ontario Winter Games in Thunder Bay.
Matthew Miller from Giant Weightlifting in Trenton competed at the Ontario Youth and Junior Championships in Scarborough over the weekend.
Miller placed fourth in the snatch, sixth in the clean and jerk and sixth overall.
Matthew Miller is coached by his father Mike who also serves as the club coach and president of the Ontario Weightlifting Association.
The Ontario Winter Games take place in February.
