Some local teams were in action on Saturday night in various hockey leagues.
In Junior C hockey, the Frankford Huskies smashed the Amhersview Jets 6-2. Meanwhile, in the Eastern Ontario Super League, the MV Wolves slipped past the Tweed Oil Kings 6-5.
Saturday’s games may be over, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a busy Sunday schedule for hockey.
In Junior A action today, both the Wellington Dukes and the Trenton Golden Hawks are in action. The Golden Hawks are on the road, facing the Markham Royals, at 1:30. The Dukes are at home, hosting the Stouffville Spirit at the Duke Dome, the puck drops at 2:30.
In Junior C the Frankford Huskies face the Amherstview Jets this afternoon at 1:30, and the Campbellford Rebels are up against the Port Hope Panthers at 5:30
