The Belleville Senators defeated the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-2 on Friday night at CAA Arena.

The Griffins found the back of the net first, early in the first period, but the Senators came back with three goals before the end of the period. The Griffons scored first again in the second, but the Senators came back with a second frame goal, and a third frame goal to extend their lead and hand the Griffons the loss.
Belleville Sens forward Egor Sokolov said the team is feeling a lot better after getting out of their previous losing streak.
“After that losing streak, we looked at each other and realized it’s only us who can control things. Since then, we’ve been building chemistry,” said Sokolov. “The room is feeling great, the coaches have done a hell of a job with the pre-scouts and we just have to execute.”
The Senators and Griffins are back in action at CAA arena tonight, at 7:05 p.m.
