Wouldn’t a good feed of hot hand-made perogies hit the spot on a cold December day?
If you’re a lover of this hearty central/eastern European comfort food you’ll definitely want to
mark Tuesday December 19 on your calendar.
Local Ukrainian Myroslava Symonenko and others belonging to Humanity for a Free Ukraine will be selling hand-made perogies,
both potato-filled and dessert perogies, for pick-up at the Lark in Belleville’s Downtown District or for delivery to your home.
The Perogie Pop-Up at the Lark will run from 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
One hundred per cent of the proceeds from the pop-up will go toward relief for the people of Ukraine.
Symonenko says media coverage of the war against Ukraine has almost disappeared, overtaken by events in the middle east, but
hopes people will remember that death and suffering continue in her homeland.
Here you’ll find more information and ways to pre-order.
