A house fire on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory that left one person with life-threatening injuries is under investigation by Tyendinaga police and Lennox and Addington OPP.
The Mohawk Fire Department, Tyendinaga Township Fire Department, police and paramedics were called to a structure fire on Old Highway 2 shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday.
Three people escaped the residence without injury while a fourth person was removed from the residence by firefighters and was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch and in conjunction with the Office of the Fire Marshal, remains ongoing.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help.
