The Ontario government has dug a little deeper into its pocket and come up with some more money to support the redevelopment of St. Joseph Catholic School in east end Belleville.
The province has upped its support for the project by $2.9 million bringing its total funding to $22.6 million.
Bay of Quinte riding MPP Todd Smith made the announcement Thursday.
When complete, the addition and upgrades to the school will provide room for 334 more elementary school students along with 49 licensed childcare spaces for families.
The project should be finished in the spring.
