Two people have been acquitted of theft and fraud charges in a case OPP had described as “elder abuse.”
OPP began an investigation in August of 2021 after allegations that two people were taking advantage of an 86-year-old woman for financial gain.
In January of 2022 police arrested Eugene Pollard, 66 years old at the time of his arrest, and 63-year-old Deborah-Ann Pollard, 63 at the time of her arrest.
Recently in a Belleville courtroom the pair were acquitted on the charges.
