More than two dozen rural Eastern Ontario communities, including several local ones now have improved cell service.
The Eastern Ontario Regional Network (EORN), the Governments of Canada and Ontario along with Rogers Communications have announced that Rogers 5G mobile services are available in 26 areas.
Parts of Hastings County, the City of Quinte West, Lennox and Addington County, Northumberland County and the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte are among the areas that will see improved service.
Rogers built 18 new sites and upgraded seven existing sites as part of the EORN Cell Gap Project, a $300 million public-private partnership to improve and expand cellular services across rural eastern Ontario.
