Tuesday was the official opening of the Brighton Public School Child Care addition.
Operated by the Brighton Children’s Centre, the $1.18 million expansion includes a new infant room and kitchen.
Funding for the project came from the Ministry of Education, with Northumberland County also providing some funding for the new kitchen.
Brighton Children’s Centre now has 49 child care spaces for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
Before and after school care for 56 kindergarten to grade 6 students is also offered.
