The Rochester Americans defeated the Belleville Senators 3-2 in a shootout at CAA Arena on Friday night.
Angus Crookshank and Garrett Pilon scored for the Sens.
The Senators claimed the first goal of the night with the Americians tying the game later in the first period. During the second, the Americans took the lead, but the Senators came back in the third to tie the game again and take the teams to overtime.
After trading shots without goals in overtime play, the teams settled into a shootout, where the Americans were able to grab a final goal, and the victory.
Belleville Sens forward Garrett Pilon is looking forward to the rematch with the Americans tonight:
“The positive is that we did do a lot of good things, so obviously we can build off of that and we’ve got these guys again. So we can look at what we need to work on and come back stronger tomorrow,” said Pilon.
The Sens and Americans are back in action tonight at CAA Arena.
