Taeo Artichuk of the Trenton Golden Hawks has been named one of 12 OJHL players who will represent Team Canada East in the World Jr. A Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia.
The forward joins the Golden Hawks this season after spending time with the OHL’s Erie Otters.
Since joining the team, Artichuk has scored five goals and tallied five assists in 10 games with the Golden Hawks.
Among the other OJHL players joining the Team Canada East squad are Belleville’s Trevor Hoskin who plays for the Cobourg Cougars.
Trenton Golden Hawks Head Coach Derek Smith will be joining the coaching staff as an assistant coach. Trenton’s Leah Toffelmire is the athletic therapist while Caitlin McQuaig of the Wellington Dukes is an equipment manager.
The World Jr. A Challenge takes place from December 10 to 17.
