A new tender has been awarded for a project to build a sanitary pump station on Picton Main Street.
The tender was awarded to BGL Contractors Corp for a total of $4,587,650 plus HST, which was the lowest bid received.
The existing pump on Picton Main Street is at the end of its service life and needs to be replaced. The new pump design will incorporate improvements that reduce the amount of time operators need to be present at the pump, and ensure smooth operation.
The bid by BGL Contractors Corp is below the project budget of $6,066,000 plus HST.
