A Belleville man was caught in an investigation into child sexual exploitation in Oshawa.
Durham Regional Police call it Operation Firebird, a plan involving undercover officers pretending to be minors on the internet and a fake advertisement for sexual services with minors.
Their fake ad was visited over 6000 times over four days, and police received inquiries from over 600 phone numbers.
Among those arrested in the investigation is 30-year-old Rajwant Singh from Belleville. Singh was charged with luring a child for the purpose of obtaining sexual services under 18 years, obtaining sexual services under 18 years, and invitation to sexual touching under 16 years
A total of five people were arrested and charged during the investigation in November. The other four people charged were from the Oshawa area.
