Theft
On November 21, 2023 at 11:34 a.m., the Belleville Police Service received a call regarding a female shoplifter who had just departed a business on North Front Street. Staff members kept observation of the female until police arrived. Upon arrival, police arrested the female for theft. Further investigation revealed that the female was in possession of several stolen items from nearby stores. All of the stolen items were returned to the appropriate businesses. Store owners did not wish to proceed with charges. The 61-year-old female of Belleville was issued trespass notices.
Intoxicated Female
On November 21, 2023 at 8:36 p.m., police were called to Highway 37 near Hwy 401 for a female walking into traffic and falling on the ground. Police attended the area and located the female. Upon speaking her, police determined that she was heavily intoxicated from the consumption of alcohol. Police had concerns for her health and well-being and requested she be transported by ambulance to Belleville General Hospital for treatment. The 22-year-old female from Kingston was left in the care of the hospital and family were notified.
