While the Nicholson Crusaders are hosting the OFSAA A Championship this year, the Centennial Chargers Senior Girls’ Basketball team will be in Guelph competing in the AA Championship.
The Chargers advanced to OFSAA for a second straight year, winning the Bay of Quinte Championship last month with a nail-biting 55-53 win over St. Theresa and dominating at at COSSA with a 62-27 win over LCVI from Lindsay and downing Peterborough’s Crestwood Secondary School 70-25 in the final.
The Chargers took home silver from last year’s OFSAA AA tournament played in Stratford.
The OFSAA A and AA Championships open Thursday with the finals scheduled for Saturday.
