The Trenton Golden Hawks have extended their winning streak to nine games while extending their lead in the OJHL’s East Conference to eight points.
Ryan Cutler scored the hat trick (10 goals) while Brady Spry turned away 22 shots for his first shutout of the season as the G-Hawks hammered the North York Rangers 6-0.
Owen Ireton added three assists.
Thomas Kuipers (3rd), Corbin Roach (12th) and Dillon Styles (2nd) add goals in the win.
The G-Hawks have outscored their opponents 54-16 during the streak.
Trenton hosts Cobourg on Friday night.
Oakville 3 Wellington 1
In Wellington the Dukes fell 3-1 to the Oakville Blades.
Dimitri-Alexander Tzaferis scored his fourth of the season for the Dukes.
Wellington is tied with Markham for second place in the East Conference. The Dukes are home to St. Michaels on Friday night.
Amherstview 7 Frankford 6 o.t.
In Junior C play the Amherstview Jets scored five goals in the second period but needed overtime to get past the Frankford Huskies 7-6.
Gabe Butcher and Blake Ellis scored twice for Frankford.
