Brighton could soon be following in the footsteps of Belleville when it comes to Automated Speed Enforcement Systems.
At its meeting Monday Brighton council will be asked to approve the purchase of one mobile solar powered Automated Speed Enforcement camera to be used in school and Community Safety Zones.
Staff is asking for pre approval of $120,000 in next year’s budget to buy the camera and pay for start-up costs.
Last week Belleville council approved the purchase of 4 Automated Speed Enforcement cameras.
